没有战争，没有和平，只有风自故吹着。在上帝遗忘的岛屿，太阳依然每天升起。一个寻爱的女人，一个因误杀了人而从此背着重担的士兵，一段关于寂寞的爱情故事……。本片由張徹執導，編劇是為張徹編過很多劇本的倪匡，聯合導演午馬曾於多部張徹電影任執行導演，並由傅聲與甄妮夫婦領銜主演。張徹帶出大批人才，令此片生色不淺。故事描述，年青馬車伕鍾堅（傅聲）因救助少女（甄妮）而與惡霸結怨；馬車老闆恐惹禍上身，把他辭退。鍾堅決志除暴安良，隨少林蔡李佛名家習武，向惡勢力挑戰。最後，他學得高深武藝，將肆無忌憚、魚肉巿民的惡霸除掉，令地方歸於平靜。。Birds of paradise are one of David Attenborough's lifelong passions.
