The film follows young activists around the globe Anuna and Adélaïde (Belgium), Luisa (Germany), Léna ...。1915年某天，河北易县清西陵，锣鼓喧天，鼓乐齐鸣。浩浩荡荡的队伍带着珍妃的遗体来此，并将其安葬在这里，珍妃的贴身太监福海（顽风 饰）忠心耿耿，留下来守候主子的陵寝。时间飞逝，23年后大清国早已灭亡，中华大地进入动荡纷争的时期，内忧外患，民不聊生，百姓流离失所，穷则思变。某个酒馆，食客谈起前朝往事，称慈禧太后（朱琳 饰）害死珍妃（黎静 饰），后因内心恐慌而舍出无数金银财宝将其厚葬。正是言者无心，听者有意。关于财宝的传说令数路人马动了心思。 急于筹资为父报仇的鄂世臣（陈宝国 饰）和土匪头子高大魁（郝一平 饰）纷纷行动，而护陵队和日本探子也尾随其后。一场裹挟贪欲和私念的夺宝战争就此展开……。
