西塔（兰迪塔·达斯 Nandita Das 饰）是一个年轻貌美的姑娘，在父亲的安排之下，她嫁给了一个有钱，但是并不爱她的音像店店主。没有爱情，婚后的生活对于西塔来说宛如一种折磨，丈夫沉迷于对于中国功夫的研究之中，对她毫无兴趣。 唯一能带着西塔解闷的，是她的大嫂罗陀（莎巴娜·阿兹米 Shabana Azmi 饰），和西塔一样，罗陀也有着不幸的婚姻，她和丈夫结婚多年都没有后代，而丈夫则沉迷于灵修，冷落妻子多年了。相似的遭遇让这两个女人之间有着很多的共同话题，她们相互帮助，相互陪伴，随着时间的推移，这种联结慢慢的从精神转移到了肉体。。还记得那个草裙娃娃吗？它惹了大祸，把哀木涕扔到了时光之穴，还夺走了他的记忆！时光守护者赛菲尔发现这件事与一场将要降临艾泽拉斯的大灾难有关，于是把哀木涕救了回来，并且让他承担拯救世界的责任。恢复记忆的哀木涕对自己的斑斑劣迹也后悔不已，决定洗心革面，做一个真正的战士。浪子回头金不换，努力的他终于唤回了一度离去的伙伴。但是，作为敌人的联盟会如何看待他的蜕变？赛菲尔所说的大灾难又究竟是什么呢……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
