中国城里建起超大型建筑物，名为“家和万事成”的中餐厅正举办隆重热烈的开业仪式。这家餐厅的老板奉三峰从拎铁箱送外卖开始，如今终于开办了体面的中餐厅。但好景不长，他的神话与荣耀很快就土崩瓦解。他的儿女纷纷离婚，年过花甲的妻子也提出和他离婚。本剧以中国城规模最大的中餐厅“家和万事成”为背景，讲述奉家发生的种种风波，以及在解决问题的过程中彼此理解的成长故事，让人们反思即使在争吵后彼此厌恨，面对一碗热气腾腾的炸酱面也会露出笑脸的家人的真正意义。。Jean de La Fontaine once said, Rare is true love, true friendship is rarer.
