Comedy about the proverbial genie who comes out of a bottle (a table lamp in this instance) to serve his new master. The only problem is that instead of helping his master, the genie (Burl Ives) tends to get his master (Tony Randall) into more predicaments than he gets him out of.。控制室发生一系列事故之后，船员凯撒怀疑有人蓄意要破坏“卡塔吉娜号”。但是已经太迟了，破产的船主为了骗取保险金，收买了一名船员已经将船炸开了裂缝。悲剧已经无可避免…。
