故事背景在现代，话说于每一个世代都会出现一个年青的女孩子，在人世间寻找及对付一些妖魔鬼怪，例如有吸血鬼、坏女巫等等邪恶的势力，而这个年青的女孩子则被称为Slayer，亦即是本剧中的女主角——Buffy。故事的开始是因 Buffy在L.A.的学校中捉拿吸血鬼的时候把整个体育馆弄倒了，故被学校踼了出来，之后她的母亲Joyce与她搬到加州名叫Sunnydale的一个地方生活，但原来这一切也是命运的安排。。Jess and Andrea are hiking in the Scottish Highlands. But their adventure holiday turns sinister when Andrea disappears after a chance encounter with two men at a pub – leaving Jess to search for her friend in a place she doesn’t know and where the locals are less than helpful. Is there something sinister at work in the peaceful countryside?。
