肇始，时殷商纣王（马景涛饰）拜祭之时为女娲娘娘的美貌所摄，不禁淫心触动，遂写下轻佻诗词。此举触怒女娲，于是派出千年狐狸精前往殷商祸乱朝纲，断其龙脉。不久，纣王听信崇侯虎（李建新饰）谗言，执意命冀州候苏护之女妲己（范冰冰饰）入宫。途中狐狸精暗中掉包，假扮妲己入宫，遂与朝中奸臣祸乱内外，竖炮烙、修虿盆、掘酒池、围肉林，任人为奸、陷害忠良，致令举国上下怨声载道，四方诸侯群雄并起。时西伯侯之子姬发（周杰饰）指天立誓，讨伐商纣。朝代更迭的车轮自此而动，凡人天神纷纷卷入其中，书写出一部浩浩荡荡的封神榜…… 本片根据中国古典文学名著《封神榜》改编。。In 1962 an unknown group from Liverpool entered Abbey Road Studios to record their debut single.
