故事发生在一所名叫竹岫书院的学府之内。竹岫书院乃当时为培养年轻诗人而在都城开办的学习机构。每年科考的前三甲都出自竹岫，令众多学子心向往之。这一年，为选拔民间贤才，振兴当朝诗词文化，竹岫书院举办了一场“麒麟诗考”，从中选出诗作最佳的一人为‘麒麟魁首’，可破格进入竹岫书院学习。寒门学子骆秋迟天资聪颖，十岁参加科考，落榜后意外遭人追杀，躲入东夷山成为土匪。多年后，骆秋迟误打误撞结识了来自竹岫书院的女学生闻人隽。后意外地得到了当年追杀自己凶手的线索，于是他以‘麒麟魁首’身份来到书院读书，立志找到凶手，并再次参加科举成为状元。骆秋迟一边与闻人隽开始了一段曲折浪漫的爱情，一边暗中调查当年真相，发现凶手竟和闻人隽的父亲有关，陷入两难，而骆秋迟的土匪身份也险些让他错失参加科举考试的资格。骆秋迟入学后，与排名书院第一的付远之产生了作诗风格上的分歧，最终骆秋迟在一场诗词...。Follows the journey of Clémence and her kitty, Rroû, as they leave Paris to spend the holidays in the countryside.
