第39届香港电影金像奖因新冠肺炎疫情严重打乱阵脚，早前已宣布取消实体颁奖礼。金像奖协会主席尔冬升通过电话接受群访，公布将于2020年5月6日下午3时，通过3个不同社交媒体，直播公布赛果，整个活动预计约20分钟，由尔冬升代表金像奖董事局负责主持。 至于得奖人未能在颁奖礼上接受同业掌声，尔冬升坦言遗憾，不过承诺将于明年第40届金像奖举行前，“补回”颁奖礼弥补缺陷，但详情要待疫情过后才可落实。。讲述Costello Jones，一个城市中挣扎在贫困线下的单身母亲（也是作家），为了摆脱困境而努力的故事。但她的努力、对女儿的爱在别人看来或许会因为偏见而显得有些可笑和滑稽；即使从中受挫，却仍不惜一切的想要挣脱。。Unable to find inspiration for his newest piece, young author Liam (Daryl McCormack) takes on the titanic weight of tutoring the son of legendary writer J.M.
