《聪明小空空》由12个民间故事组成，讲述一个聪明的小和尚空空与几个师兄弟一起，依靠自己的聪明才智，与各种恶势力进行斗争的故事。。热爱跳舞的农村少女彩凤自幼丧母，一直与习武的父亲相依为命，后来在应聘女工的过程中突围而出，毅然从乡下来到繁华热闹的城市——上海。彩凤一直没有放弃理想，不久，她找到一份在街舞学校清洁的工作，并一边工作一边偷师学跳舞。 偶然机会，她得到老板阿朗的欣赏，正式加入街舞队，并与阿朗开始谈恋爱。在跳舞大赛前夕，她却因与阿朗产生误会，一度失踪。后经父亲劝勉决定继续参加比赛，并作出精彩的表现，令观众赞赏。最后，彩凤亦在追寻舞蹈的路途上找到真爱。。Själö means island of souls, and no name could be more fitting for the island in the Baltic Sea, which for centuries was a last stop for women who were considered social outcasts and who are forgotten today.
