故事发生在录像带大行其道的1996年，在一个名叫波林的城镇里，视听社和戏剧社的高中生们特立独行，努力应对着成长过程中迸发难抑的情感，勇敢面对青少年生活的跌宕起伏。。明月中学に通う普通の中学生・佐倉魔美は、同級生の高畑和夫を思わず助けたことから、自分がエスパーであることに気づく。当初、自分をエスパーだと誤解していた高畑だったが、それは魔美のものだと気づき魔美のよき理解者になると共に助言をするようになる。自らの超能力を高めていく魔美は、その能力を人助けのために活用する。。The story is set in the 1930s, somewhere in the mountains in Romania. It centres on Simion, a ranger who lives like a hermit in the middle of the forest. One day, he stumbles upon a beaten-up woman, Irina, and tries to find out who has hurt her. He also tries to stay away from her but fails.。
