逢年過節就是華人女性最忙碌的時刻，農曆新年更堪稱「女性勞動周」，尤其是傳統觀念中，「媽媽」、「女兒」、「媳婦」除了被賦予除舊佈新的責任，過年期間還要駐守廚房、還要幫忙祭祀、張羅年菜...... 但到底一系列的過年習俗，讓女性們忙前忙後的背後意義是甚麼?。讲述纽约历史上最恶名昭著的黑手党家族——甘比诺家族头目约翰·戈蒂的生平事迹。时间跨度长达30年，由戈蒂儿子John Gotti Jr(Spencer Lofranco饰) 回溯往事。 纽约街头混混出生的戈蒂偶然结识了当时甘比诺家族的二当家安尼罗·德拉克罗什，教父卡洛·甘比诺去世之前却将位置传给了保罗·卡斯特兰诺，后也导致卡斯特兰诺谋杀案，戈蒂如愿当上该家族第七任教父，他和妻子维多利亚(凯莉·普雷斯顿)试图让家族在多项悲剧事件与犯罪指控的情况下团结一致。2002年，患癌的戈蒂在监狱中去世，终年61岁。。A boyfriend, who can barely speak English, embarks on an overseas trip with his girlfriend, who takes charge of planning everything and even handles communication on his behalf.
