常常幻想著“突然的夜逃、突然的告白及突然的分离”的平凡女生松前绪花，这些幻想于某一天突然成真了——突然离开一直生长的东京而搬到由从未见过面、说过话的祖母开办的温泉旅馆 喜翠庄上居住及工作。在那里，绪花遇见了不同的人并认识到她从未认识的新世界。在新生活里，虽然绪花会因为辛苦而哭，但对她来说，这是能让她这朵细小的花蕾开放的新世界，所以她忍耐著并努力地工作下去。随著太阳的引导，绪花这朵细小的花蕾将会盛放出很大很漂亮的花朵。。该剧讲述1938年秋，军统特工慕容秋、雀山城团长宋鹏程、新四军战地医生叶百合三个人在战争中的爱恨纠缠。。Volker Schlöndorff transposes Bertolt Brecht’s late-expressionist work to latter-day 1969.
