小学生张蚂蚱（刘韫涛）家邻公安警犬训练基地，没事同表弟二秃爬上树盯看公安训练警犬时，两人爱上了凶猛、聪明的狼犬“黑狮”，并想法令它与家犬“山虎”配种。不久，“黑狮”在执行任务中死亡，“山虎”产下“公主”、“狼牙”一雌一雄两只狼犬，被蚂蚱视作珍宝。渐渐长大的两只狼犬威风堪比父亲。 暑假到来，蚂蚱带上两只狼犬进城看姐姐张菊（石荣），准备顺便给它们领犬证。公交车上，售票员偷走某乘客现金若干，塞进蚂蚱的书包。张菊发现蚂蚱书包里的钱后，将蚂蚱盘问一番，没问出个所以然，拿去私用，不久，张菊遭遇祸事，被盗窃集团头目段飞（刘廷尧）威逼，蚂蚱找寻姐姐的过程中，两只狼犬派上用途，一路惊险，却帮上公安尤其打入盗窃集团内部的牛伍（张志忠）的大忙，但悲事在皆大欢喜一刻发生。。An uplifting documentary about coping with inoperable cancer may sound unlikely, but here it is.
