作品的故事设定在现今的21世纪，猫神茧与普通人类柚子一起生活。柚子的父母因为意外生亡，所以柚子从小便一人继承了古董店“八百万堂”。而在这寄居的茧，虽然是负责守护被遗忘的万物和记忆的神明，但在作品中只是一个只顾吃、喝、玩及睡的猫神。在作品中，除了茧外，也将会有很多很多不同的各式神明陆续登场，热热闹闹地交织出一部轻松的喜剧。。Young Jim Hawkins, while running the Benbow Inn with his mother, meets Captain Billy Bones, who dies at the inn while it is besieged by buccaneers led by Blind Pew. Jim and his mother fight off the attackers and discover Billy Bones' treasure map for which the buccaneers had come.
