Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island. Their trip leads them to a number of adventures involving the otherworld-like life...。譚恩是保險公司的精算師，他在做任何事之前都會先以數字計算過一次，甚至連愛情也不例外。他想出了新的保險項目「真愛保險」，一上市就備受眾人關注。 潔妲原先是個媒人，後來調職到譚恩的單位協助他收集資料，但潔妲深信真愛不能以數字計算，她的價值觀與譚恩完全相反。隨著譚恩和潔妲四處奔波，與投保人洽談他們是否要分手，兩人之間為了維護自尊的戰爭也悄悄開打。。
