A rash of bizarre murders in New York City seems to point to a group of grotesquely deformed vagrants living in the sewers. A courageous policeman, a photo journalist and his girlfriend, and a nutty bum, who seems to know a lot about the creatures, band together to try and determine what the creatures are and how to stop them.。一个苦命的女人，被养父卖到妓院，但并不想卖身，老鸨在无奈下，只好让她先卖唱，她唱了一首秋怨，那个好心人想救出她，但因为钱不够，但办不到，俩人私奔到了其他城市，然后被人追杀，化成厉鬼来报复他们……。
