Set in the summer of 1852 in the village of Kengis, Northern Sweden, the series follows the young Sami boy-Jussi and his mentor, the newly appointed revivalist Pastor, as they investigate multiple-killings of young girls。谢宁本想趁谢建国七十大寿时，缓和紧张的亲情关系。同一时间，正在工地视察的程厉得到妻儿信息，打算追回妻儿。寿宴上，谢宁因寿礼寒酸被堵在家门外，甚至被要求当场改嫁。谢宁为了缓和关系只能忍耐，就在谢宁即将无力抵抗时，程厉赶到，及时护妻。。
