Roberto Rossellini st...。民初上海滩群雄逐鹿十里大洋场仇杀不休三十年代，叱吒上海黑道二十多年的聂进(苗侨伟)在妻子横死后退下战线，经营起小笼包店来，并出於歉疚而聘请了何水秀(向海岚)。进的退隐，叫一心跟随他的石世九(黄宗泽)失望不已。 进本没有打算重出江湖，但是当他知道黑帮兄弟胡大川可能跟妻子之死有关，并且眼看著其他兄弟逐一遇害时，他知道江湖事终究要以江湖手段来解决。 进和川因而展开了连场廝杀；然而其后一连串事件，叫进怀疑背后还有黑手。另方面，更叫他震惊的是，女儿曼华(杨思琦)的亲生父亲，原来竟是对他恩重如山的大亨顾长城(高雄)……。
