Subjects of Desire is a thought provoking film that examines the cultural shift in beauty standards towards embracing (or appropriating) Black aesthetics and features, deconstructing what we understand about race and the power behind beauty.。对儿子跑丢车祸而死自责了一辈子的林婉茹，心甘情愿的将公司和财产全部交给老公吴亮和公公婆婆，不料吴家人从此露出了真面目，林婉茹默默忍受直到患上胃癌住院，吴亮带着怀孕的郑雪前来送她最后一程，林婉茹死前得知儿子的死另有隐情，死后重生到九年前。
